Has Iain Cheated You? Post here

Please add comments here if Iain Lewington has scammed you and you still have money outstanding.

As he ignores your emails, if you post on here it will be taken seriously.

I have had a few problems with this blog due to false comments that someone was adding on here, and I had to readd all comments back again. I have added the original comments and peoples names thats why the times are so close together.

Many of these comments are available on the Scam.com thread and the forums.digitalpoint.com thread.

All comments are 100% accurate.

I believe Iain Lewington is probably no better or worse than many others who are offering similar services.

All out to make a quick buck out of people looking for an easy way through the mine field of betting.

Just take it on the chin, stop the silly wingeing and move on to the next one ready to sell you something lol

I was one of the mugs who fell for Iain Lewington's Abacus Racing trading scam.

I tried to get my money back and the many shares I invested returned from him but he didn't respond to my e-mails, after I sent about 15 emails with no reply, I gave up.

Now that people have decided to go after him and get their money back I am all for joining the cause.

I'm actually in contact with another of Iain's victims via another forum but thought I'd post here too as I just came across this thread.

I have located one of the promo emails he sent, I am sure I have the others somewhere containing Iain's many lies but here is one of them I have found:-

Good afternoon members,

Following on to our email sent a few days ago we would like to remind
you of our new trading venture we we began yesterday.

Members were asked to invest a minimum of £300 in £100 shares which
would be used to make risk free trades Betfair by ourselves.

The initial investment can be returned at anytime in full when
requested.

We take 10% from all the profits made and then divide the profits
between our members at the end of the month.

We have already made each member £11.43 per £100 invested a figure which
will rise drastically throughout the month.

For those who don't undertsand how the trading works heres a quick
insight. Once we have backed a horse we look at laying it at smaller
odds for an amount which guarantees us the same profit which ever horse
wins the race. As long as we predict which way the odds will move then
we win money. We are not going to divuldge how we know this but our
success rate is 100%.

Please contact us ASAP if you wish to join.

ABACUS RACING http://www.abacusracing.co.uk
Horse racing info you can count ON!

This is solid evidence in any criminal/fraud proceedings we take against Iain Lewington, he clearly says the initial investment can be returned in full at any time.

If he had about 200 members who bought an average of 5 shares (£500) this is a £100k fraud he got away with.

Or at least he thought so, now that this has resurfaced he may well be brought to justice after all.

Thanks for warning! some time ago this ''wonderful '' site was put on auction. Don't know how it ended. Sadly the internet has become a safe heaven to all kinds of scamers

I do not know him by the name Iain Lewington, but by the address at East Sussex. Many years ago he conned me out of £100's with some horse racing scam

Anonymous said...

His old service was called Abacus Racing. Does that ring any bells?

Anonymous said...

I lost like £10000 with Iain lewington. I emailed the creep everyday over that period and he kept making excuses saying the problem was with Betfair. I also sent him a letter which was sent back to me saying the address did not exist.

I have his new address now thanks to this site and this Benjamin Street. I am planning on consulting with my legal advisor and suing Ian Lewington for everything he has.

Stick me down for a few million pounds whilst everyones at it!

Anyone defending lewington is either blind or is probably iain himself trying to save his reputation by writing nice things about himself! I have never bought anything from him but everything I have read about him has been negative. Not just on public forums, but private paid forums too and reputable sites like business review have lewington down as a serial scammer.

A majority of the gambling industry is full of scammers who will do anything to make a buck out of you but lewington is among the worst of the lot.

Cheers
Daniel

Private paid forums now, Some people have simply got too much cash, Imagine paying to be part of a discussion group, this wee blog is good fun and free.
Seems like Mr Lewington was just taking from those that could afford it.
And by the way the reputable site you mention, "BUSINESS REVIEW"
I mean It couldnt be affilliated to any of the wonderful sites that it recommends, Most likely just Giving an un-biased and accurate review all for FREE. :-)

The complaints about lewington are about his trading scheme under his previous tipping service called abacus racing.

People say lewington asked them to deposit large sums of money with him then he didn't return the deposits as he promised he would and made excuses then disappeared.

Even he has admitted he lost a lot of money on his trading scheme in his email, it is pretty obvious lewington is lying saying betfair was down when he went to place a bet with his members money.

Cheers
Daniel

Daniel.. I just read what you wrote. I do think it is unfair that Iain is being targeted like this.

Did he really lose any members money and run away? Can you show how you come to this conclusion?

Luckily I never signed up with him at the time but from the reviews on business opporunity I have always kept away from him.

Business opportunity is an independent site that is not after affilate money so you can trust what they say.

Anonymous said...

Daniel,

Abacus Racing, just when was this service running ?

The business review site first mention of Iain Lewington is June 08, It seems to me it has taken all these people who have lost thousands a long long time to come forward.

And they all want to be anonymous for some reason.

I do not doubt that some people lost money, but the figures being quoted ?

It is clear that there is more to this than just a failed Trading service, betting services come and go, They usually go because they are not profitable, in that there members lose money and do not renew subscriptions.

Abacus is just one of a huge list of failed services.

Surely no one investing with Abacus went into it beieving there was no risk !

Let me tell you all my experiences with Iain Lewington.

Unlike most of the people posting on this blog, I am prepared to give you full details about who I am so that you can contact me direct to check what I write is accurate. My name is Chris Williams and I run the greyhound laying websites at www.GreyhoundLays.co.uk, www.GreyhoundLaysExposed.co.uk, www.Greyhoundlaying.co.uk.

Some months ago Iain approached us to get a free subscription to our Greyhound Lays service so that he could review it for his site.

When the review appeared, I was not happy with it - principally on the grounds that Iain has no knowledge of statistics and made some ridiculous claims in his review.

However, I did not throw a hissy-fit but wrote a reasoned response on my website to point out Iain's inaccuracies. I informed Iain and we basically agreed to disagree.

Iain not only took down his review after a few days but also stopped promoting Greyhound Lays via the affiliate link that we gave him. For someone who is claimed to be greedy for money, then that seems a strange thing to do.

I am amazed not only by this blog but also by the comments that some people have posted. Some people do need to "grow up" and get a life..

Iain Lewington has a lot of complaints about him on the internet from angry ex-customers.

Whether his review site is legit or not I have no idea, maybe he has changed his ways who knows?

But it is a fact Iain Lewington was scamming people out of a lot of money before with his previous tipster ventures.

The email he sent out trying to defend himself was actually an admission of guilt if you read it carefully.

I personally wouldn't buy anything from Iain Lewington he promotes or recommends, I don't trust him but each to their own.

Iain lewington is a cheating bastard. Look at the facts and all the articles on the internet. Are some of the people really that thick? The articles go all the way back to 2006

Does anyone have any legal advice for me please, I joined a betting service run by someone called Iain Lewington for betting tips/advice.

I gave him £1,400 in return for a guaranteed income of £49 per week, and the £1,400 was guaranteed to be safe according to him and could be returned at any point in time.

Iain Lewington was basically trading on Betfair on my behalf and taking a small cut of the profits.

He said that Betfair had crashed while he was trading so he lost all my £1,400 I gave him which was supposed to be guaranteed safe.

Am I legally entitled to my money back as he claimed in his advertising that the £1,400 was guaranteed secure and would only be used to trade on my behalf.

Has anyone else had dealings with Iain Lewington?

Can anyone offer any advice where I stand legally, and should I be entitled to my £1,400 back which was supposed to be securely guaranteed.

Any solicitors/legal experts on here, would you be so kind to advise me, is my £1,400 gone for good or can I legally get this back from him?

Thanks.
Emily

Anonymous said...

at the very least he should be able to ask betfair for the money. Money don't just disappear, even when the server crashes

Anonymous said...

Thanks for your reply.

I know that it can't be lost while it is in the betfair balance, but he said he lost it because he had placed all £1,400 as a bet and couldn't complete the trade.

So Iain Lewington says he lost all £1,400 so can't repay me.

I don't know what type of trading he was doing, he is very vague but I think it was arbitrage betting he was doing on my behalf.

I don't believe that he lost my money because of a betfair problem and I think he just wants to keep my money

I think he did scam you. If Betfair is a gambling site then, yes, I'm 99% sure it's a scam.

You are entitled, I believe, to the money if it was written down on an official document or something similar.

Anonymous said...

Iain Lewington is a scammer.... bettingsystemreviews.co.uk ~ he is a huge scammer.

he has scammed over half a million in the past. i mean the chance of Betfair "going down" once is possible but this happens every time the guy places a bet with other members money.

Anonymous said...

wow i feel bad for you
thats probably not even his real name

Anonymous said...

Quite... Unlucky there. Never do betting with a guaranteed income because the whole point of betting is that it is unpredictable... there is no way you can have a guaranteed ammount back each week...

Get legal representation involved and try to track others who have been scammed by him, that way you can split the costs of legal fees while trying to get your money back. If enough people have been scammed by him you can go to the ISP by law and get his details for his arrest (if the court allows and agrees).

I'm sure if you are willing to give that ammount of money away to someone you hardly know I am pretty sure you can afford legal fees!

There is no such thing as quick/easy money in this world! You need to work very hard at some point to get a good return...

Regards.

Anonymous said...

Let others learn from the mistake that you made - that's the only good that's going to come from this... There's no way that a company like betfair is going to be beaten by a gambler... this is a classic 'too good to be true' scam.

Anonymous said...

have a look at http://www.scam.com/showthread.php?t=42284
apparently solicitors latter will scare the guy, you might want to give it a go, probably won't get 100% refund since you would have to pay the legal fees

Anonymous said...

If it was written down in an offical document or the like (even if it was an advertisement because he was guaranteeing a return of the original investment), you may have some recourse.

If he is swindling money off so many people then surely something can be done about this guy i.e. even reported to the authorities.

Well well. Our CONMAN friend Iain Lewington is back!

Iain Lewington went in for the kill and did another scam promotion yesterday....

Scam e-mail from CONMAN Iain Lewington.....

I have just completed my review of the Football Loophole System.

Read my unbiased and accurate review at:
http://www.bettingsystemreviews.co.u...llloophole.htm

Kind Regards
Iain Lewington

Please Note: My messages are never sent unsolicited and I keep records of all opt-in requests for verification. If you no longer wish to receive my emails you can unsubscribe at anytime using the link below.

Betting System Reviews, PO Box 1294, 372 Old Street, London, EC1V 9LT, England

Phony/bogus review from fraudster Iain Lewington...

The author sent me a copy of the football loophole to review which is always a good sign but as you may have read in previous reviews of mine it doesn't always mean the system is any good.

Well for once I am pleased to say that the authors confidence in there system can be justified.

I did this review a little differently as I asked six other people to take a look at the system for me and send me there own independent reviews. This final review was made very easy for me as everyone said the same things and agree with my own thoughts on the system.

When you purchase the football loophole you receive a 56 page PDF document.
The manual is well written, logical, easy to understand and includes many helpful examples including screenshots.

The manual includes five systems as follows:

* Backing winners
* Laying specific away sides
* Picking Asian handicap bets
* Backing over 2.5 goals
* 'the big favourite'

The manual also includes two trading methods which in my opinion are worth the purchase price alone. Neither of them are the laying the draw method either!

The manual discusses various other subjects, such as how specific teams
are able to win away and why, as well as more 'in-depth' discussions regarding football betting which you can't just get via statistics!

Following his instructions I would expect to make "steady" profits throughout the season with lots of betting opportunities as it could be applied to any league in the world.

Score: 4/5 - definitely worth paying money for and in my opinion a long term winner.

With CONMAN Iain Lewington getting desperate with all the bad publicity the last few days with victims of his trading scam catching up with him, he made up some FRAUDULENT story about 6 people testing this latest phony recommendation. YEAH RIGHT IAIN LEWINGTON YOU DOGS BALLS WHY DON'T YOU JUST ADMIT YOU MADE THIS CRAP UP SO YOU CAN GET AN AFFILIATE CHEQUE!

Where are the results Iain?

Proof of profits Iain?

Isn't the truth you aren't going to bother to test this recommendation because you know it probably won't actually work as per most gambling methods Iain?

Isn't the truth Iain that you don't really give a dogs crap if it works or not in the long term and that because the ebook sounds half decent when you quickly browsed through it, you thought you would promote it to make a bit of cash from people on your list desperate to make money from gambling, knowing full well you were probably scamming them?

The reality is this.

Iain Lewington just had a quick browse through this football loophole ebook, and thought...

well this kinda makes sense and is unlikely to get many complaints as it sounds like it works...so as I can't be bothered to test it properly and produce some real results as it might not work and will probably make a LOSS as per usual with these garbage gambling systems I'll quickly promote it and pretend that six imaginary people tested it for me and they said it works! Then I'll get an affiliate cheque once these fools on my list have bought it!

It is becoming quite obvious Iain Lewington's modus operandi for scamming people!

If you think about how this CON Iain Lewington does his reviews carefully it becomes quite obvious.

He buys up gambling ebooks and just browses through them, now most are crap as we all know so anything that doesn't seem credible he puts some general waffle along with a 1 or 2 star review....says it probably won't work in the long term blah blah...this gives him credibility and is the old confidence trick psychology coming into play....

He does this a few times, and then when he comes across something that sounds kind of like it might work (or his latest second hand car hasn't sold on ebay) Iain Lewington goes in for the kill and does a scam promotion with a 4 star or 5 star review like the one above!

Then he gets his affiliate cheque then repeats the process.

An alternative is he promotes his SCAM tipping service.

For anyone wondering about Iain Lewington's tipping service he actually ran many other tipster services, they always follow the same trend...

He gives out high priced horses, occasionally he has a bit of luck and makes a bit of profit, but they ALWAYS end up hitting a long losing run eventually when he doesn't get lucky with any 16/1 shots and everyone ends up losing a lot of money!

CONBOY Iain Lewington previous tipping services followed a similar pattern...

ABACUS RACING....made a profit, eventually hit a long losing run and huge losses followed.
FLOPPED AND CLOSED DOWN (with his illegal trading scam debacle in between!)

WINEVERYWEEK RACING....started off well, hit a lengthy losing run then huge losses followed.
MADE EXCUSES, CLOSED SITE DOWN

So if anyone is following this DONKEY DUNG Iain Lewington's tips and you are showing a small profit CUT AND RUN! His scam tipping services always follow the same pattern, he goes for longshots, hits the odd longshot putting himself into temporary profit, but the result is always the same eventually. ALWAYS.

HUGE LOSSES, EXCUSES THEN TIPPING SERVICE CLOSED!

Trust me....I've been following this Iain Lewington CROOK for a long time and I know his modus operandi.

But enough of my daily rant on this CONMAN Iain Lewington, ever since he scammed me under his illegal trading scheme I decided to keep an eye on this scammer to protect other people!

Even if I save one person from getting scammed from Iain Lewington then I feel it is worthwhile my rants on him.

Iain Lewington is a clever scammer I give him that, he thought he outsmarted everyone by disappearing for about a year after swindling around £50,000 out of people with his illegal trading scheme then coming back with a phony review site hoping most people would have forgotten and there would be plenty of newbies he could cash in on.

Iain Lewington is actually one of the most dangerous types of scammers on the internet, he uses confidence tricks like using casual reviews which he cobbles together to gain his preys trust and only a wise old bean like myself will actually be able to detect what his true agenda really is.

A lot of people who don't get to read my posts like above will unfortunately have their bank accounts emptied slowly but surely by Iain using his psychological and deception tactics.

My my. CONMAN Iain Lewington recently pulled a SCAM on ebay on a pack of darts!

His ebay username is ilewington

The master con artist Iain Lewington uses his deception whether it is scamming someone on an illegal trading scheme or selling a £10 product on ebay!

Check out the CHEAP SECOND HAND CARS Iain Lewington sells on ebay from his RUN DOWN house.

Rather strange considering Iain Lewington claimed he was a professional gambler making a fortune and living the high life from betting just a few weeks ago when promoting his new tipping service scam!

On another forum as you have probably seen Iain you piece of DUNG someone called Chris you scammed you owe over £1,500 who you scammed through your illegal trading scheme!

He wrote the money off but now he wants his MONEY BACK BOY! YOU BETTER PRAY YOUR LATEST DODGY CAR SELLS ON EBAY SO YOU CAN PAY HIM BACK IAIN!

Iain, it is time to start returning peoples money you stole!

I was scammed by iain lewington too!

he caught me out to the tune of $2,400 with his abacus racing con, still ain't got my money returned to me....

his latest scam is betting system reviews uk , unfortunately many gullible newbies will still get tricked by this guy!

beware of iain lewington !

Angela I'm sorry to hear you were stung by master con artist Iain Lewington as well!

I got a solicitor/lawyer involved but I think he counts on the fact that too many people find it too much hassle to get them involved so he just wears people down with excuses, delays etc until they give up so he can keep all the money.

Iain Lewington needs to be stopped before he scams hundreds more people with his fraud!

Any more victims of Iain Lewington please speak up so ACTION can be taken against this guy!

Don't just sit and suffer, if someone stole money from you in the street you wouldn't just forget about it would you.

If someone steals money from you online through trickery and deception its still theft!

What Iain Lewington has done to you is THEFT, plain and simple so please speak up if you have been done over by him as well.

Well well.

Scammer Iain Lewington has CRACKED and this morning became DESPERATE and went into damage limitation mode to save his skin by sending a confession e-mail responding to allegations from his angry past clients this morning making excuses for STEALING huge sums of money off people through his illegal trading scheme.

His past victims have started to speak up all over the internet and the TRUTH is eating him up inside and catching up with him.

Iain Lewington was hoping his past criminal activities would be forgotten. But many people haven't forgotten he burned them. Conned them into investing thousands of pounds of their hard earned money which he didn't return.

Now he is back to pull some more massive scams.

More on this conman later.

Stay tuned, Iain Lewington would rather hide the truth....but it is too late.

AND IF YOU'RE READING THIS IAIN LEWINGTON FROM YOUR PC IN BEECHAM PLACE, THE DOZENS OF PEOPLE YOU SCAMMED OUT OF THOUSANDS OF POUNDS HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN WHAT YOU DID TO THEM, THE LIES, THE EXCUSES, THE DECEPTIONS. IT IS TIME TO COME CLEAN

Anonymous said...

Nice try Iain Lewington you scamming, swindling MAGGOT but you have FAILED MISERABLY!

You tried to trick us Iain, you tried to pretend there is some conspiracy theory and the hundreds of people all over the internet complaining about you who you SCAMMED out of their SAVINGS with your ILLEGAL TRADING SCAM are all making things up and you are pretending to be the victim.

Well you have....FALLEN FLAT ON YOUR FACE!

Quote from e-mail of SCAM ARTIST Iain Lewington....

"Those that did were either refunded by me or received charge backs on there credit cards"

PEOPLE ONLY DO CHARGEBACKS ONTO THEIR CREDIT CARDS IF THEY HAVE BEEN SCAMMED AND CAN'T GET THEIR MONEY BACK!!!!

Another quote from CONMAN Iain Lewington's e-mail...

"I lost several thousands of pounds of my own money and actually took a year off from gambling as the financial loss was a big setback to my family"

Well of course Iain Lewington you disgusting, crooked RAT!

Which is why you had to RETURN with a phony review site and new bogus tipping service to get back on your feet financially by getting back to swindling cash out of gullible people on the internet again!

Anyone thinking of sending this crook Iain Lewington money for his tipping services/systems or buying any of his recommended 5 star systems with his affiliate links read this again....his own words....

"I lost several thousands of pounds of my own money and actually took a year off from gambling as the financial loss was a big setback to my family"

Send him money for any of his tipping services, systems or recommendations and YOU TOO could lose thousands of pounds, suffer financial loss and take a year off too just like he did! WOW!

Business address from CROOK Iain Lewington in his e-mail...

"Betting System Reviews, PO Box 1294, 372 Old Street, London, EC1V 9LT, England"

Well well. Conman Iain Lewington has now moved to an anonymous PO Box address so people he has BURNT can't chase him up to get their money back from his scams!

But fear not! Check my first post if you have been unlucky enough to have been burnt by Iain Lewington.

Of the 2 addresses this fraudster Iain Lewington, this self professed professional gambler actually lives a shoddy house in a RUN DOWN area of East Sussex called Beecham Place!
